Meal Entry UI friction

Seems like the layout could be modified to better support just clicking “add” instead of having to tap out of the keyboard. The “add entry” button isn’t even visible when you’re done adding the entry. (Until you tap in a blank space to close the keyboard)

been under review for 3 months now, any chance that we're considering improving the day-to-day interactions with this app?

Does anyone on the UX team actually use this app?

The “update” button is hidden when updating a field of the daily check-in, the only visible button is the back button when entering the data.
The back button is destructive and cancels the input value.

This same issue is present on most (all?) data entry screen on the app. The only visible button (the back button) destroys any information that was entered. In the higher density screens (log all metrics, for example) tapping out of the keyboard is a guessing game to not hit another input widget.
In-progress data entry for long text fields (think weekly check-in answers) are also not saved when the phone locks. Happened to me the other day when I had to let the dog inside when filling out a form. All my answers were gone.

I second the title, here are definitely a bunch more improvements possible/needed in the client app.

This seems like an opportunity to reduce friction when performing common tasks

The only correct input here after typing the weight is to tap on white space to reveal the hidden “Update” button.

At a minimum the “done” prompt should be present on the keyboard overlay
