Adding single foods to meal plan instead of just recipes.

Hang Luu
When creating a meal plan we are only able to add in recipes for meal plans.
What if we want to give them just an orange as snack?
We have to create an entire entry for orange as a recipe it's so silly.
I would like the ability and option to add individual ingredients to the meal plan.

We need an update on this. Almost 2 years and still can't add a single dessert or snack but Everfit has somehow managed to make an entire calorie tracking side of things in the meantime? Please stop creating crazy new things and fix the huge problems in the existing ones first. I'm so glad I canceled my add on for this 18 months ago and waited until I can actually use this feature. A spreadsheet is way easier and more efficient than using the meal planner at the moment. This would be such a good feature but unfortunately just isn't usable for the majority of coaches and clients right now
Chris Zinn
Rachael Clarke seriously!!! I’ve waited so long for the simple ability to add single ingredients like chicken and rice and in the meantime new features like ai food scanning are released which is MUCH less important the the simple ability to add easy ingredients for clients to follow. Update this asap because the meal plan feature is essentially useless right now

Single ingredient foods to meal plans would be a game changers

For this app to be a game changer ( UK ) would be to upload a massive database of single ingredient foods when structuring clients meals plans, it annoys me having to use sheets when it could all be under 1 roof

or just add chicken to a salad to up the protein as the AI changer that changes the meals give some crazy options that don't fit.

Recipes/meals

There 100% needs to be a feature to create and save recipes or meals and log them as ONE item instead of individual ingredients.
For meal prep and repeat logging it is a heavy chore to go and find every single item in your meal every single time you have to log food. The feature need to be able to break up how many servings it creates and how many macros are in each serving.
This has been available in every other nutrition/fitness app I've ever used

It’s honestly crazy that this thread is getting close to two years old and there is still no real resolution. This is not some niche feature request. A proper nutrition database and meal planning system is a basic essential requirement for any serious coaching platform.
A lot of coaches are genuinely frustrated about this. We are paying for a premium coaching platform and still being forced to rely on spreadsheets just to deliver something as fundamental as meal plans. That completely defeats the purpose of using a professional coaching system in the first place.
I switched from Kahunas which had an excellent nutrition database and strong programming capabilities expecting this platform to offer a complete solution. Instead I am now seriously considering switching back because the nutrition side just is not good enough.
Even with the recent addition of client food tracking inside the app the database quality is still extremely poor and unreliable. It feels like a half finished feature rather than something coaches can confidently use with paying clients.
This is not just an inconvenience. It directly affects how we run our businesses and the service we provide.
This needs to become a genuine priority.

It's great that now we have the ability to add milk, yogurt, cheese, but I still see no option to add nuts, seeds, carrots, dry oats, or a slice of bread... or any other veggies and grains. Please add more single ingredient items.

I have messaged the support multiple time about this!!! and nothing gets done. As a nutritionist the meal plan section of this APP is useless! Everyone needs to put a complaint into Apple!!!
Chris Zinn
What happened to this? It's absurd that its been almost a yer since the ability to add single ingredients like fruits but haven't built on it at all. You still cant add "8 ozs of chicken" or "1 cup rice". All of the ingredients listed in recipes should be addable as single foods. Please complete this, the meal plan feature is useless if all I can add are full recipes. Nobody can eat a recipe for every meal and it needs to be more dynamic.
Coach Shayla
Chris Zinn Came here to check on the status of this and say the exact same thing. I just want to be able to add "broccoli" without having to create a whole recipe for one food.
Also, recipes need to be able to be adjusted by the client at the
individual ingredient level
.If a recipe includes 5oz chicken and 1 cup of rice, but they eat 5.5oz of chicken and 1 cup of rice, they need to be able to adjust the chicken portion only.
Right now, adjusting by whole "serving sizes" of a recipe is completely unusable for real-world application.
Chris Zinn
Coach Shayla Agreed. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate the beauty and ease of building recipes but it’s really incredible we can’t just add single foods as meals.
Almost no client has time to make recipes for every meal and almost no coach has time to create “recipes” of every single meal they want to assign.
Good point about adjusting serving size within a recipe as well.
This is a non negotiable feature in building meal plans.

would love to have the individual ingredients as an option in the meal plan rather than having to make a recipe every time for example if i wanted to add Fats just add peanut butter to a snack rather than having to edit the recipe

Single Item foods for meal plan builder

I would so rather prefer putting together a meal plan with single food items rather than having make it into a recipe. Much easier for a client to understand how we got to the macros the make up the meal and also for helping them make swaps for more flexibility.
